What do we need?

 
First and foremost 

we need your support and ideas. What do you as residents want to see the playing fields used for? We are open to anything that will not put unecessary wear and tear on the pitches. Please get in touch if you would like to start a club which could use our facilities in the future, football, cricket, running, archery to name a few examples.

 

 

Secondly

we need your help in raising funds to help in setting up the CCSA.

 

As an association, we are facing substantial set up costs that we will need to meet in order to get the playing fields used as soon as possible. Without the pavilion, we are unable to take advantage of many funding streams that will be open to the association once it is completed. We are actively working with Peterborough City Council and the Huntingdonshire Football Association to check eligibilty for grants. This work continues, but does take some time. 

 

Further down the line, the CCSA will need to cover running costs, such as utilities, and maintenance on the pavilion, through to line marking and upkeep of the playing fields and other facilities. We intend to maintain charges at a reasonable level so that costs are covered but keeping our facilities accessable to as many of our residents as possible.

Finally

we need your participation.

 

In order for the community of Cardea to flourish, we need as many people getting involved as possible. The lifeblood of an community are the people who live and work within it. The CCSA are driven to increase partipation in sport and community activities in Cardea and the wider Stanground area. If you or your family want to get involved in playing sports we'd be happy to help you in the right direction.

 

The more of us that get involved in playing sports, meeting with members of our community, and engaging in community activities, the more Cardea will be an even better place to live. That has to be in all our interest doesn't it?

 

We need your support......

 

As a not for profit association we will need to raise funds to cover intial set up costs etc. Whilst we have yet to confirm a start date for the construction of our communities pavilion, we still want to get people active in Cardea and the wider Stanground area. 

 

As a group, we want to engage with members of our community to allow for activities and clubs that will be able to utilise the playing fields before the pavilion is contructed. Stage one in this process is to get football played here by September 2014.
