Pavillion planning app submitted!

The process has been long and hard but after some great support from our local Coucillors and action by Marco Cereste, Brian Howard (PCC) was appointed to take this project forward, we have seen real momentum and direction on the project.

After CCSA reps held meetings with Brian and his team, architects have come up with the plans for the building and the surrounding landscaping which can be seen in the planning application.

Peterborough City Council held a public consultation evening at St Michaels school which allowed residents of Cardea and Stangound to come along and discuss the proposals and get an impression of what the site will look like. Those who were able to attend were generally impressed with what was on show and there is a sense of relief in that something is finally happening.

There is still a lot that can happen between now and the first spade in the ground, but all being well construction should start later this year. Fingers crossed for positive news in the near future, we'll keep everyone informed along the way.
